Business Ethics
As a market leader, at TomTom we take our responsibility to all our stakeholders. We have developed and regularly review ethically-based policies and principles to guide us in our work and we take various measures to make sure we conduct our business in a responsible way.
Supply Chain Management
TomTom products are manufactured by many different suppliers around
the world. Outsourcing is a key element of our management strategy
and we aim to engage responsibly in our chosen areas of
business.
We expect our suppliers to ensure that their products and
services are produced and delivered in line with TomTom’s
Ethical Trading Code of
Practice.
Our Ethical Trading Code of Practice is at the heart of our
procurement processes. All suppliers are required to sign the Code
and our Quality department ensures our manufacturers comply with
the principles set out in the Code.
Personal Navigation Device Suppliers
All our suppliers of personal navigation devices (PNDs) are ISO
14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
The ISO 14001 standard covers environmental performance. It is designed to ensure companies control and minimise any harmful effects on the environment and achieve continual improvement in their environmental performance.
The OHSAS 18001 standard is designed to help organisations
control their occupational health & safety risks.
